My class
A teacher signed in to the OPAC gets a screen: My class view their students don’t: the roster of their homeroom, a sentence summing up what the class has out (message: 5 items out across 4 students. Heads up: 1 item overdue.), and each student’s current loans. It’s a quick way for a teacher to see who in their class has books out, for example before a library visit, or chasing a class-set return.
- A teacher of one class lands directly on that roster.
- A teacher of more than one class gets a class switcher, defaulting to the homeroom from the current session.
- A faculty member who teaches no class gets no navigation path: My class link, since there’s nothing to show. Opening the page directly shows message: This page is for teachers instead.
This is read-only, like the rest of the patron OPAC; a teacher still goes to staff (or the staff app, if they have an account) to actually circulate.
Teachers always sign in with an emailed 6-digit code, regardless of the library’s visit mode. See Setting up the OPAC.
