Sign up with a school email address. No card, no call. You get 30 days with everything on: cataloging, circulation, holds, and the OPAC. If the trial ends before you've decided, your account pauses rather than disappears.

Practice on sample data first, or load your own collection from day one. Either way, nobody schedules a call. The guide and the docs carry you through.
Lyra provides a sample MARC catalog and hosts a fictional OneRoster source, so you can build a working school library in a few steps and then take it apart. Every step uses the real tool: the actual importer, the actual sync wizard, the actual circulation desk.
Skip the practice run and see Lyra with your books instead. Import your collection and roster yourself, during the trial, at no cost, and run Lyra alongside your current system.
There's no trial edition of Lyra. The account you sign up for is the same app schools subscribe to. The only thing the trial adds is a clock.
Start the trial now and you'll make your decision with your own catalog already in Lyra, not on the strength of a sales pitch.
Start the trial and import your catalog and roster. Run Lyra alongside your current system while school is in session.
Before your 30 days run out, email us and we'll keep your trial open through spring.
Decide before your budget closes. Send your business office the one-page budget summary for your size.
Subscribe. What you've imported is already there, so you bring over only what's changed since, and you're live when school starts.
Planning for next school year? Email us and we'll keep your trial open through spring.

Yes, though you load it yourself rather than finding it there. Lyra provides a sample MARC catalog file, and hosts a fictional OneRoster source you connect the same way a school connects its student information system. Nothing in it is a real person. Read the guide
Yes. Import your catalog from a MARC file or a spreadsheet, and your roster by OneRoster sync or a spreadsheet, during the trial, at no cost. Lyra tries to match your system's column names to its own, though the templates in the import guide are the reliable path. You can preview both imports before committing to anything. Read the migration guide
No. There's nowhere to enter one during the trial. Payment comes up only if you choose to subscribe. That also means nothing can auto-convert or quietly start billing at day 30.
No demo call, no sales pitch. You'll get 3 emails at most: one before your trial ends, one when it does, and, if you don't subscribe, a reminder at least 2 weeks before the account is deleted. If you want a human, we answer within a school day at support@lyralibrary.com
The account switches to read-only. You and your staff can still sign in and look at everything, and the student catalog keeps serving patrons, but nothing new can be changed. Nothing is deleted, and nothing is billed. You have 30 more days to decide: subscribe and full access comes straight back, or export your catalog, patrons, and current loans and walk away. If neither happens, the account is deleted at the end of that window, and we email you at least 2 weeks before that date.
Yes. Start the trial and import your catalog now, then email us before your 30 days end and we'll keep it open through spring. Everything you import stays in the same account when you subscribe. See the timeline
No. Lyra has one plan. Every feature comes standard, and pricing is set by patron count, not by feature, so the trial is the same product with a 30-day clock. That includes staff sign-in with Google or Microsoft, which is never an add-on. See pricing
Sign up, follow the guide, and you'll have run a checkout, a hold, and a check-in on a working library before lunch.
No credit card, nothing auto-billed. If the trial lapses, your data is held for 30 days while you decide.
